Scholastic Children's Books, the U.S. publisher, said it would offer a hardback edition at a suggested retail price of $34.99, a deluxe edition at $65.00 and a reinforced library edition at $39.99.

0_0 What in the world is so special about the deluxe edition?!?!? (Of course, I had difficulty even spending $20 some-odd on all the previous hard-back HP books. . . .but $65?!?!)

Some friends and I have a midnight party every release date in line for the book store.  It has become a tradition.  We're dressing up this year.
