This weekend I was driving home from school to visit with my family. I was coming onto the on ramp when I realized some poor woman was stuck in the ditch. I pulled over and offered her my cell phone to make a call and tried to help push her out. We didn't get anywhere. Within minutes, two trucks stopped within five minutes of each other. One man stopped and he and I tried to push her out again, but still couldn't get her out (she was stuck in several feet of snow!) Then a man in a big pickup truck came along and he and the other man hooked up a tow strap to pull the lady out. I hate to think how long the poor woman would have been there if they didn't show up because I certainly couldn't get her out. It was freezing outside and these gentlemen were crawling under the cars hooking up tow straps and getting wet and dirty. It's so nice to see that sometimes people really do care about others and will help out. It made my day!
