Sausage breakfast casserole
« on: January 29, 2008, 10:12:25 AM »
I can't seem to find a recipe to go with what I have in mind.
I want to make a breakfast casserole with a layer of sliced bread on the bottom, topped with a slice of cheese on each, a sausage patty on each slice of cheese. Then I wanted to cover it with about 6 scrambled eggs and then add more sliced bread on top.

But now I'm not sure if I want to add the eggs over the sausage and cheese or pour it over the top layer of bread.

Any thoughts?

I don't know of one with bread.  I have one that uses frozen hashbrowns layered with sausage and cheese... the eggs are just poured over the top and then it's baked.

I think I've seen a breakfast casserole recipe that called for cubed bread ...  I'll search around a bit.
