I voted for Grace, and it made it pull ahead!

I love the name Grace, I don't know why, I just find it nice.  (And Gracie can be a cute nickname for a kid, there's a girl where I work who currently goes by either [I work at a childcare]).

I thought I was the only one!!! I love those books, fyi they are re-printing them now, which is great for me since I've only gotten to read up to #11 or 12!

I have a bunch of Trixie Belden too.  I get them at used bookstores and flea markets, so I can often find the old editions!  I used to get 70s reprints for my birthday when I was a kid.  Gleeps!

I voted for Alyssa Corinne.  Alyssa Cyzny is one of my favorite figure skaters.

Whenever I go into labor, Dh is going to check the poll to find out about the current winner and that's going to be the new baby's name.  I know this may seem very unconventional, but it was the best solution Dh and I could come up with.  So please cast your vote and help us name the new baby.

I had to vote for Grace Elizabeth Brandt because there were just too many 'b' sounds in the other names. They work beautifully in full but when they get shortened to first name, surname, then you notice it more.

I know no one wound "mind" if we changed our minds once we had the baby, but picking out this kid's name is just causing so much strife.  I'm really enjoying that idea that I've thrown out some picks that I like and would be happy with anyone of them and now I'm just going to let fate take over from here.  Whatever it is, it is and I won't be giving it another thought!  It's such a relief actually - naming a kid can be pretty stressful.

Hmm....I couldn't make up my mind between Grace Elizabeth and Abigail Phoebe. I love the combination of the first, but I chose the latter because I think Abigail is such a beautiful name. Hmmm.....how about Abigail Grace? Although that's a little tongue-twister to say, although it looks pretty. I didn't pick any of the ones with Anne as a middle name because it seems like Anne and Marie are the most over-used middle names in the English language.

Thanks for the compliment, NewMrsF, but that was part of the problem.  DH and I like all of those names and think they'd be nice for a daughter of ours, but we just can't choose one.  Thank you all for making this so much easier on us.

Off topic but I also love Alyssa Cyzny. She is a very classy skater. I was just thrilled when she medaled at Nationals.

I am very very very sorry for everyone who voted and followed the rules of this poll.  I will be sure to let you know when the poll is back up again and thank you again for your input.

I am saddened to say that the poll in which users could vote for a name for our child had to be shut down today (2/8/07) as a result of a visitor tampering with it and voting dozens of times.  The software does not normally allow this, but somehow, it happened.  I appologize to those of you who voted one time and respected the site enough not to try to tamper with it, because now your votes will not be known.  I will make every effort to upgrade the software and try again in the next few weeks.  If you were the one who voted more than 20 times throughout the day, please let me know how so that I may correct this problem.
