Your Favorite Clothing Colors?

(1/5) > >>

NEDESAPIO:
Here's a light-hearted topic, to counteract the seriousness of the last thread I started.  What colors do you look best wearing?  Are there any colors you simply cannot wear next to your face, because they make you look washed out, tired, etc, or clash with your skin tone?

I have very dark brown hair, brown eyes, and medium-dark skin.  I look best in blue, rose, lavender, black, and ivory or white.  Four of my very best shades are periwinkle blue, violet, emerald or forest green, and burgundy or wine-red.  I cannot wear beige or olive-green next to my face; they look ghastly on me.

How about you?

IndianInlaw:
Gray t shirts

blue jeans

white sneakers.

That's about it.

RoseRose:
I'm blonde and pale, and the best colors next to my skin are the reds at the maroon end, somewhat darker than the true reds.  Now, I usually wear blue and purple, which aren't bad on me, but not the best either.  I just like the colors.  Pastels, especially pinks, wash me out somehow, as do some shades of the blue and purples I love.  *shrug*  At this point in my life, it doesn't really matter, though.

Xanthia, Maker of fine Tin-foil hats since 2007:
Reddish borwn hair, dark brown eyes and a plae complection with pink undertones.. I cannot wear any "yellow based" colors, I look best in "jewel tones" and browns, so I wear a lot of purples and greens along with black.

Cupcake Fiend:
DH says blue, especially light blue, looks best on me.  I prefer pink, because it is my favorite color, but looking at pictures I think he may be right and I'm planning to add some more blue to my wardrobe.
