The Laura Ingalls Wilder books
The books about the Melendy family by Elizabeth Enright ("The Four-Story Mistake", etc.)
The books about the Moffat children ("Rufus M.", etc. I think Eleanor Estes is the author)
Beverly Cleary books
Jean Little books
Lois Lenski books
"All-of-a-Kind Family" series by Sidney Franklin
The Betsy books by Carolyn Haywood
All Paul Zindel books
Louisa May Alcott books
Frances Hodgson Burnett books

"Striped Ice Cream!" by Joan M Lexau
"Magic Elizabeth" by Norma Kassirer
"Charlotte Sometimes" by Penelope Farmer

and when I was very little, I liked a book called "Peppermint", about a little white cat who gets washed with blueing!

I better stop-- my stream of consciousness is overflowing!

Yes, I was a lonely child who read a lot.

I loved the Bobbsey Twins, Trixie Belden, The Little House on the Prairie, and as a young teen "Go ask Alice" had a huge impact on me.  I lived in Libraries as a child as we didn't have a TV,  so it was books and the radio for me.   Even when we moved out of the valley, and were able to have a TV, I still read for most of my entertainment.   To this day, I'm not much of a TV watcher.

An aside - re Go Ask Alice (I like it too).  But did you know that it's in fact not a "true story"?  I think I read about this on the Urban Legends site    www.snopes.com   .  The author was an adult psychologist (perhaps psychiatrist or some sort of related professional) who wrote books for teens.  The scare-tactic books generally involved an "innocent" teen who fell into trouble through no fault of his/her own.

My favorite childhood books are:

The Little House on the Praire Series

Chronicals of Narnia Series

The Boxcar Children Series

The Babysitters Club Series (admittedly these came out when I was in 6th grade, so I was a little old for them)

A Little Princess

Dr. Seuss, esp. Green Eggs and Ham, The Lorax and How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Encycolpedia Brown

Judy Blume: Superfudge, Are You There God? It's Me, Margret..., Blubber, Iggie's House

The Amelia Bedelia books. They were so funny.

Lyle the Crocodile books.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Never read this book on an empty stomach. Or have some really good chocolate on hand.

Teen Books:

Sweet Valley High Series

Sweet 16 Series

About David (a really sad book about a teenage boy who commits suicide)
