I'm at WAR with a certain wireless provider.  I subscribed to their unlimited broadband access plan a year ago and i got a notice yesterday that they are cancelling my service for using over 5GB of bandwidth in a single 30 day period.   

I thought it was UNLIMITED....

I called them and asked why the were terminating my service.  I pay my bill actually it pays itself comes out on the 28th of every month and isn't due till the 8th of the following.  I need the darn thing because i can't get DSL where i am and cable is out of the question cause I'd have to have the lines run costing almost $2000 just for that.

Well they said the service is for browsing and email not file sharing, downloading, web camera broadcasts, etc and the only way you could use that much bandwidth is if you were participating in one of the above restricted activities.  They said i could go down and reactivate the card and get a new plan for it after the termination.  I asked if i would have to pay an activation fee they said it was up to the customer service rep.  I said whatever and hung up.  I then realized that a lapse in the contract would also cancel my NEW every 2 program.  Leaving me to hold on to the $250 PC card for 3 years before upgrading because I'm already a year in. 

First off I'm paying for an internet connection what i do with that connection is my business. They can not make assumptions based on the volume of bandwidth i use let alone restrict it if I'm paying for an unlimited plan.  Secondly if they wanted to restrict subscribers to 5GB per month then they should sell the plan as a 5GB plan and charge for overages. 

They were however kind enough to wave the early termination fee.

Just had to vent.

they waivedthe early termination fee for a service you did not want to terminate? Well... I have NO CLUE why you are so upset!! I mean, that is AWFULLY generous of them. I want to switch over to them right now, just because they were so kind!!
