This is a website that helps loaners hook up with borrowers in developing countries. You can loan as little as $25. It helps people start their own business.

In Second Life, I dealt with someone raising funds for kiva.org.  They were wonderful!  Things like this are great programs!

I was given a couple hundred dollars from work for Christmas this year to donate at Kiva. It's been a LOT of fun deciding to donate who to (really hard, too!) My husband and I donated almost exclusively to women, but we spread it out over different kinds of industry and different countries.
