OH MY GOODNESS!  I was on the phone with a friend the very SECOND the screen faded out at the end of that episode.  She knew why I was calling, so we didn't say "hello" to each other.  Just "DID SHE REALLY JUST DIE?!"

She reminded me of something.  Look at the name of the show.  Can they really kill off Meredith?  (Don't answer that! )

They may bring her back and put her in a coma for a while. Sort of get her perspective on being a patient?

I sure as heck hope not. But then, I didn't think they'd kill off Denny either!

Did you catch them at the end of the show? Oh my!! So cant wait until next week!!

I find Meredith (well actually the actress that plays her) to be uber annoying and I would do a little dance of joy if they canned her. I HIGHLY doubt that will happen as she is the title character. I cant remember any show ever killing off the title character.

Oh and I hope Alex doesnt fall for Jane Doe because I really want to him and Addison to hook up. Yum!

That's alot of attendings messing around with the interns.

Man....Denny looked so yummy! I wish they hadn't killed him off!

I was shocked that Meredith might have died. I remember Shonda (the writer) saying somewhere after the bomb squad guy died last year that we would be seeing him again and the other spoilers online saying Denny was making a re-appearance. Anyway, the rumor that an intern was leaving the show has been going around for awhile and I wonder if it was planted so people would think that Meredith would be killed off? Or maybe she actually is leaving.
When the whole Isiah Washington and TR Knight fiasco occured, everyone ssumed it was TR Knight leaving until he denied it. Hmmm. great writing!

I recorded it last night and saw maybe half of it.  She can't die, can she?  At first, I thought no (she IS the main character), but there's no way she suevived.  Never mind cold water = hypothermia and wet chothes weighing her down - how long can a person survive underwater?  She can hold her breath until she turns blue (literally, in this case), but her survival instinct will force her to inhale eventually - and once she inhales water, she's pretty much gone, isn't she?  Unless, of course, McDreamy got to her in time, which I don't think he did (it took him too long to find her).

That said, on Deaparate Housewives, one of main characters killed herself in the first episode and continues to narrate from beyond the grave.  Is that what's happening here?

The whole Desperate Housewives thing was to have Mary Alice tell the stories from her point of view. Like now that she was dead, she knew all the neighbors secrets and was sharing them with us, the viewers. Does that make since? It's the way it was supposed to be written from the beginning.

IMHO, killing off Meredeth would just about kill GA. She's the title character for goodness sake! That would be like killing off Raymond in Everybody Loves Raymond, or Jerry on Seinfeld. A smart writer just would not kill their show like that....well, one would hope not. JERk almost killed Days of Our Lives, and that's been on air for 30+ years!

Heres what I think will happen: THey show them working on Mer interspersed with scenes of her talking to Denny and Bomb Squad guy (what was his name, anyway?) and at the very last second, right when they are about to give up, her heart starts beating again and she's either wakes up or is in a coma. Then maybe she will wake up and have to re-learn alot of the things she's learned in Med. School or whatever.

I too called a friend and didn't need to say hello.  It is Grey's Anatomy, so they kind of need her anatomy wandering around.  We pondered the voiceover as well.  Meredith did say that "I have more to say".  Of course then she went under again.  I do appreciate the cliffhanger and I so look forward to Thursday night!

Oh, and I think they're heading in the coma direction.  That or someone's going to come in and pound their fist on her heart and miraculously it will start beating.

I think pregnant Jane Doe will have no one looking for her and Karev (who is definitely showing emotion) will help her, but I don't see him falling for her.  Not as long as Addison keeps looking at him like he's lunch.

Grey's is my absolute favorite show, I think about it way too much and only a couple of people I know watch it so I don't get to talk about it!!

Meredith can't be completely dead.  My guess is she will have to decide to come back.  Like she said in the voice over, she has more to say.  And I don't think she'll be in a coma when she does.  She's already done the patient thing with the appendectomy (and I LOVED Meredith on morphine..."all my boyfriends" DH and I were laughing so hard at that one!!)

I want George and Callie to make it.  I like them together.  I like Izzie but she is completely blind when it comes to George and Callie.

That little blond girl with the braids freaked me out -- but I was glad her mother found her in the end.
