My DH work is in a major hiring phase. He has to hire 2 if not 4 more people in the next six months. He has hired 8 people in the last year already.

The head of their department doesn't think they are doing this fast enough. He decide the best way to help speed this along is to provide breakfast every morning for them while they go through resumes. So in the room where the books of resumes are he sends breakfast pizzas for them to snack on. He then comes in at 7:45am and looks to see how much of the pizzas is left. He was upset when the first few days the pizza wasn't being eaten. Once the managers realized that. They told people in areas near by that there was free food and please come eat. The head of the department is now happy because the managers are obviously coming in and going through the resumes because the pizzas are being eaten.

Ick - I've had breakfast pizza, and there's no way I could stomach it *once*, let alone every day for a week!

While I think it's nice to provide a meal, I think he's taking it too far.  And if they're supposed to devote all of this time to finding replacements, how can they do their own jobs?
