So...today I went to Stitches West (ginormous knitting convention, at which I spent way too much money on my yarn addiction) in Santa Clara.

Imagine my surprise when someone came up to me and said, "I've seen you online!"

A blank expression crossed my face (I'm sure), and I said, "You have? Where?!?"

The reply? "On eHell!" It was Minmom3, who recognized me from pictures posted on this board!!!

How cool is that? Small world, isn't it??

ETA: To cap off an already exciting day where I was on sensory overload from petting so many different yarns (I am an unabashed yarnaholic), I won a set of seven pairs of birchwood knitting needles in a raffle at one of the booths - a raffle which I totally entered at the last minute just for the heck of it (after having declined), once I saw what the prize was!

It's weird, because I had a vague feeling that Minmom3 was going to be there; the convention was held close to where she lives.

It was indeed very cool.

You haven't chatted with me since before Xmas because I haven't been home since Jan. 2 (and I was pretty sick the 2 weeks before and after Xmas). I went back to work on Jan. 2. My neck, however, is still very sore, and contributes a lot to the headaches I've been suffering. I need to consult with my doctor about going to the pain management clinic - I'm just leery of being put on anything that could become addictive.
