X-Files, Dark Shadows, and Flushed Away

OK...weird question.

I just watched Flushed Away and the scene where the old salt takes Roddy into the back area to find Rita, the slugs whistle a tune that I thought I recognized as the theme to Dark Shadows.  If it helps, the policeman in the beginning of W&G Curse of the WereRabbit whistles the same song.

Anyway...I just heard someone refer to it as a song from X-files.  I have only seen snippets here and there of X-files and so I could not definitely say nay...but I'm pretty sure it's Dark Shadows.

So, can anyone out there help me.

It's not X-Files. I know that theme by heart, but at first I had a hard time figuring out if what they were whistling was indeed a small part of the theme. Then I searched youtube to see if I could find something with the Dark Shadows theme (as I'd never heard it before), and that's definitely what it is.
