so who's going to Stitches Midwest?

Having just gone to Stitches West on Saturday, you'd think I was completely knitted out, but I LOVE yarn. I love knitting conventions. I love seeing all the beautiful colors and new knitting innovations and petting yarns and feeling the differences between cotton and hemp, silk and soy, wool and mohair, etc.

One of my best friends lives in Chicago, and I have yet to visit the Windy City since he moved, so it looks like I'm going to Chicago in August! Stitches Midwest is August 9-12, and my friend Mike is also an avid knitter, so he said he wanted to go.

So I get to explore a new city this summer, AND indulge my knitting fixation! Best of both worlds.

Those are the exact same dates of the Rebellion festival in England, so I'll be overseas.

Whoo hoo for festival/convention weekends!

That's OK - I find myself quite often in your corner of the universe anyway, so one of these days we might meet up!
