What's for Dinner?

We attended a surprise wedding with hot dogs (and a fire, when the tabletop grill set the tabletop aflame!). We don't eat hot dogs, but I brought the cake and sparkling wine, so we ate that.

We got Indian takeout on the way home, so channa masala and vindaloo potatoes or some such were the order of the day.

I'm throwing a party tonight, so lots of nibbles, especially a nacho bar, jalapeno/cheese pastry things & sweet potato empanadas. Oh yeah, and caramel cake. Mmm, caramel cake.

Roast beef with sage nut dressing and burgandy mushroom gravy.  One last dinner at a favorite restaurant before they close for good.

Stouffers lasagna with garlic bread and Cesar salad.

I had a "Thanksgiving burger" from a local place - ground turkey and cheesey goodness and cranberry and mixed greens.  Very tasty

Quiche, leek, yoghurt and dill flavored.

My wonderful, talented DH made stir-fry with lots of vegetables and turkey served over home made fried rice. It was delicious.

Breakfast for dinner- three fruit smoothie (blueberry, banana and pumpkin) with a toasted bagel and hot chocolate.

For the record, the jalapeno pastries and empanadas are completely gone, as is the caramel cake. Nacho bar? I'm going to be eating that stuff for a week. Good thing I like nachos.

I made lasagna, garlic bread, and tossed salad for dinner tonight. In an attempt to make it a bit healthier/lower in fat, I used ground turkey instead of beef.

I think it turned out pretty well. DH seemed to like it too. During dinner, he turned to me and said "I think this is the first time you've ever made me lasagna." I told him "This is the first time I've ever made lasagna, period!"

Cottage pie

We had eggplant pakoras and a masala dosa. Friends stopped by to get our spare key for cat sitting this week and invited us to come along for cheap Indian food, so it was a pleasant surprise.

I went to a friend's house for dinner tonight and we had this amazing Turkish vegetarian lasagna like dish with filo, roasted veggies and cheese, a nice pinot grigio and some of the best chocolate cake that I've ever had.

I've been drinking with one of my friends so it's 2 minute noodles at 10.00pm.

Last night was baked chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, and steamed green beans.
