I also had second Thanksgiving with my friends. Their leftover turkey and some veggies, the leftover homemade cranberry sauce my mom sent with me, and my own special drunken ham - I bought a regular semi-boneless ham and soaked it in cheap pinot grigio and brown sugar and guava paste.
The night before, I had creamer potatoes boiled with garlic and salt and pepper and dill, and steamed clams over the potatoes, and I made a sauce with white wine and butter for them both. It was absolutely divine and a nice offset for the turkey, ham and carb overload of doing two Thanksgiving dinners.
