Salad rolls, very garlic stir fry from a local Thai place, zinfandel and the last of my birthday cake.

Lean Cuisine mushroom tortellini that I bought because it was the only thing in the freezer case in Walgreens that looked remotely appetizing...I actually wish I bought two, because it was much better-tasting than I expected.

I couldn't be bothered to cook, so I grazed.  Some almonds, cherry tomatoes, a chunk of cheese, raisins and half a baguette.  Delicious!

Going out to dinner with girlfriends to a place that's known for its truffled mac & cheese. Mmm.

Wood fired pepperoni and feta pizza with a cannoli for dessert at one of our favorite pizza places. Yum!

Leftovers: sweet potatoes, cranberries, salad, foccacia and bean soup. Pumpkin pie later, probably.

Second Thanksgiving! My fellow grad students and I are having our dinner tonight. I'm contributing cheese and crackers, roasted broccoli, green bean casserole, crack pie and bourbon whipped cream. Oh yeah, and champagne.

We're in Ontario, so no Thanksgiving leftovers.  We ended up with subs for dinner, because both of us have the flu and weren't feeling particularly imaginative.

Dear God, I hope that the fever passes soon!

I also had second Thanksgiving with my friends.  Their leftover turkey and some veggies, the leftover homemade cranberry sauce my mom sent with me, and my own special drunken ham - I bought a regular semi-boneless ham and soaked it in cheap pinot grigio and brown sugar and guava paste.

The night before, I had creamer potatoes boiled with garlic and salt and pepper and dill, and steamed clams over the potatoes, and I made a sauce with white wine and butter for them both.  It was absolutely divine and a nice offset for the turkey, ham and carb overload of doing two Thanksgiving dinners.

Steamed broccoli with tuna and parmesan cheese: after the carb load that was my two Thanksgiving dinners, I just wanted some protein.

I'm a wee bit obsessed with homemade pizza and now all my friends request it when they come for dinner.

Tonight I had salsa soup.
