Baked turkey drumstick (1st I'd done that) with Herbs de Provence spices and BUTTER CRUD MONKEYS! butter. And boiled taters.
Get this. I can bake meats/foods just fine but doing taters and rice on the stove? I mess it up every dang time!

We were supposed to have an out-of-town guest and my boyfriend's mentor over for dinner last night, but since they decided not to show up (yes, I was quite annoyed and BF was really sad), we have the makings of an awesome meal already, and we invited a newlywed couple over.

I already made the baklava, and I'm about to start the stuffed red peppers (couscous, spinach, almonds, golden raisins and feta) now. Pita, hummus and olives for starters,  and a good white wine, too.

Beef stew that I doctored up. I reduced the amount of meat, added 1.5 lbs of mushrooms, 2 cups of Cabernet and turned on a crock pot. We've been hanging Christmas lights today, so we needed a meal we didn't need to keep an eye on.

After shopping, a friend and I stopped at a grill with lots of vegetarian options. I had a mock grilled Cajun chicken sandwich with french fries.

The original plan was roast chicken. After 2 hours in a 425 oven, I'm still not sure it's cooked all the way, so I cut the meat off and froze it, figuring I'll turn it into chicken soup down the line. So, I think I'm hitting the local Jewish deli tonight.
If wisdom’s ways you wisely seek,
Five things observe with care,
To whom you speak,
Of whom you speak,
And how, and when, and where.

Wine marinated pork cutlets in a sweet spicy sauce, with steamed greens. Trying a new recipe so I hope it works out  :)

I was planning something with chicken, but DH's car has been acting up so I have to go get him at work at 6 PM. I'm tempted to get fast food, but if we don't it'll be something easy, like chicken nuggets, green beans and boxed shells and white cheddar.

We are celebrating 12-12-12 day and creating a very fattening unhealthy dinner.  But it is a menu for 4.

1 doz ebelskivers
2 doz tamales
3 doz buffalo wings
