We are going out tonight for our annual tradition of pizza, Christmas light gazing at a local Christmas Village, then hot chocolate and pie. With DS old enough (I hope) to really enjoy it tonight, I am SO excited!  ;D

Probably hitting the deli tonight- I didn't on Monday because I was too tired. I had eggs and toast.

Fast food last night, so chicken nuggets with green beans and shells and white cheddar tonight. I'll be glad when DH's car is working right again.

Yesterday was potato latkes with sour cream and applesauce- so good.

Tonight is probably scrambled eggs.

Tonight is chicken soup with herbs, mushrooms, onions, carrots, etc. It's cooking in the crockpot right now.

I'm throwing the classiest Christmas party ever tonight! I'm the social chair for my grad department and I just didn't feel like going to the effort and expense of throwing a fancy party since our president "accidentally" spent all our funds that hardly anybody shows up for. I do have a Groupon for a local dive bar, so I told my classmates that I'd buy the first round of nachos and beer. Sooo many people RSVP'd yes. I think this is going to be a fun night!

Last night was our company party. As far as I remember, we had:
Lemongrass veggie stir-fry
Veggie spring rolls
Bruschetta with 15 kinds of mushrooms from the mushroom bar
Four kinds of caviar (Yuck, first and last time for that!)
Cheese buffet nibbles
Blue cheese and honey fig half
Weird grilled vegetable selection from the veggie buffet
Dessert bar: raspberry lava cake bites, flambe strawberries in tiny pink waffle cones, dark chocolate chili truffles, little cookie boxes with creamy filling, red velvet madelines, and liqueur-filled, glittery bonbons.

I may have overdone it, but nothing was more than three or four bites (most were single bites)

Enchilada casserole. It was OK, but I'm going to buy some Doritos to crush up over the rest of it. It really needed some crunch.

Here, it's a rainy, icky day.  We'll be making pork and noodles with tofu and broccoli.  It'll be the first time this season.

Last night was the cast party for my chamber singers' concerts. We had a potluck and I especially enjoyed the varieties of cheese and crackers, a yummy salad, fresh pineapple and the homemade fudge and Christmas cookies. I heart sprinkles.

Stopped  by the Honey Baked Ham store and got a sandwich and potato salad...I can't believe I've never eaten there before, in the ten years I've lived in the area!  It's so good... (happy nomming sounds here!)
