We had fish tacos at a taqueria.

Tonight, DS is making something involving chicken.

Today is my day off, so for lunch, I'm making steak tacos with homemade mango salsa, and at the same time, starting my dinner of slow-cooker braised oxtail.

Last night, Chicken Breast Stuffed with Lemon-garlic Feta Cheese. Tonight, no idea yet.

Annoying meat sauce over broccoli with a hot roll.

I can't figure out what "annoying" was a typo for...

It's not. I called it meat sauce until one of my Italian friends heard the ingredients and had a hissy because it wasn't "real" Italian meat sauce. "It's so annoying when people call it that, but it's all wrong!"  "Fine. It's annoying meat sauce." He recovered his sense of humor and laughed. So did I.

Sesame chicken and broccoli over rice. I have yet to take the chicken out of the freezer, so whether or not we actually eat this remains to be seen. We have some leftover pork roast that needs to get used up; I might just use that instead of the chicken.

Real Antones Yea sis.

Confused... what is this?
Antones was a grocery store back in like the 50's. The store made poor boy sandwiches. Eventually they dropped most of the groceries, though they had imported foods and concentrated on the Poor Boys. I grew up on them.

Eventually Mr. and Mrs. Antone died. Their sons ended up splitting the company in 2. There is now Original and Famous.

Original is just like Mom and Dad used to make. Hand made daily with fresh bread, good meat, and Chow-Chow (type of relish) Labor intensive and price to cover that. The last original location we knew disappeared. Turns out they moved because they lost their lease - Sis found them.

Famous is YUCK Mass produced, stale bread, tired meat, and no chow-chow but they market to the grocery stores and are more successful.

Improvised soup with tofu, peas, a bit of seaweed, sesame oil, soy sauce, onion, garlic, and vegetable broth, plus coriander and red pepper.

Weird but good.

DS is very sick, so DH made soup and homemade macaroni and cheese.

Tonight I'm having dinner out and it will either be Thai or burgers.
