I decided to pick up a burrito from a different taqueria and holy cow y'all, this thing is about 50% guacamole. I'm in heaven.

Homemade chicken pie.  Every so often, I cook off 2 chickens, pick them and make stock.  So chicken pie is a snap with tha already done.

DS is away, so DH and I had pork and beef meatloaf with brown sugar and ketchup glaze, cheesy rice, and broccoli. We have some lovely adult beverages also. Shiner Bock for me and Shiner Black Lager for DH.

I just had a lovely stirfry of cabbage and ginger with plum sauce and scrambled eggs over brown rice.

Mmm. I made king cake last night, though just with a cinnamon butter filling.

Last night was two meat, two bean chili with lots of vegetables and served with our traditional toppings and real Southern cornbread. This was the hottest batch of chili I have personally made, with the fresh jalapeno chile providing the most heat.

For XMAS every year my 2 sons ( teens ) by me a gimmicky As Seen on TV gadget ... its sort of a joke. If they can get it at the drug store... all the more fun.  Theis year it was the tortilla shell pan... Makes a tortilla bowl .. WOWOWOWOW - they turned out great .... we had awesome taco salads....

Wild mushroom ravioli with a chicken mushroom and onion pan sauce. It was great.

Leftover mushroom, lentil and wheatberry soup. I'm pretty proud of this creation.

Spicy tuna and salmon rolls! I had an awesome day at work that deserved some celebrating.
