Last night was 17 pounds of boiled crawfish and 2 pounds of shrimp for our family of 4. Amazing how much a teen boy can put away.

Last night was soup with lots of vegetables and some soft tofu with a miso-vegetable broth. Tonight ... I am stuck. We just finished a lot of hiking with a trip to the grocery store before we got home, and I am still uninspired (and tired).

ETA: Decided on roasted sweet potatoes and mayocoba beans with cooked spinach.

This morning/afternoon I had brunch with some girlfriends. We had vegetarian eggs benedict casserole, cheese puffs, asparagus, Greek salad, fruit salad and muffins.

Now I'm faced with a house filled with produce and zero desire to cook. Perhaps I should go ready any one of the FOUR cookbooks that were given to me this weekend.

Tonight was going to be caprese salad and pasta tossed with sauteed garlic and fresh herbs. It ended up being dreary and kind of cold though, so instead we had a white bean soup, sourdough bread, and moscata.

Turkey wings, spinach, ancient grains mix.

I then felt that I was missing something so I went out and bought double chocolate cookies and brownies just in case

Yesterday, we had pork ribs, smoked pork, cowboy beans, potato salad, fresh biscuits for dinner and lemon cheesecake pie for dessert.

Herbed pork medallions with a raspberry sauce, rice pilaf and panned spinach.  We also have a half bottle of wine in the fridge.

That will make a nice meal before we watch 'Dancing With the Stars'.

That sounds interesting!  What is it?  I tried to look it up, but Google returned only ancient grains flour, or ancient grains muffin mix.

Pulled pork, beans, corn, salad, and the rest of the pie.

It's by Earthly Choice and is called the Heritage Grain Blend.  It's really yummy :)

I use that, the Rice Select Royal Blend or Whole Wheat Couscous for my starches.

I did the same thing and had scrambled eggs with broccoli and soy sauce!

A slight twist on sausage and peppers.  No tomatoes and I added up a diced eggplant.  Yummy.
