Cherry junk for dessert :)

cherry junk?

I found it on Pinterest and that's what they called it. http://www.justaddasliceoflove.blogspot.com/2012/01/aunt-marys-cherry-junk.html It's really good
In the United States today, there is a pervasive tendency to treat children as adults, and adults as children.  The options of children are thus steadily expanded, while those of adults are progressively constricted.  The result is unruly children and childish adults.  ~Thomas Szasz

Corn and smoked sausage soup. I found the recipe in a Gooseberry Patch cookbook and slightly tweaked it.

Chicken and mushrooms with some sort of noodles- either udon or soba, a green salad and a mango fruit bar for dessert.
If wisdom’s ways you wisely seek,
Five things observe with care,
To whom you speak,
Of whom you speak,
And how, and when, and where.

I made bbq ribs and corn-on-the-cob - oven baked, not grilled, but still delicious!   Having it for lunch tomorrow too.

Sunday night: tres amigos enchiladas. Fillings: Turkey breast, beef & pork, queso fresco, sharp cheddar. Sauces: Sour cream, Chipotle red, green. We also had black beans and yellow rice.

Monday: DH's famous homemade tortillas, made into tacos and pizzas, with warm tortillas drizzled with honey for dessert.

Tonight: Chicken soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.
