I helped a friend run a booth for her business at a local fair. Her husband wandered the festival and brought us hot soup with rolls, hot apple cider and cookies.

Last night stuffed pepper soup.

Today - having lunch at in the Italian section of local city. Probably cottage cheese and fruit for dinner

Husband made us tacos with black beans, potatoes, onions and spinach. He's learning to make some decent food!

Tonight is a potluck, if I'm lucky enough to finish my work and be able to go! I'm making cornbread because the host let us know she's making chili for a main dish (though we don't know if it's vegetarian/edible by us ::) )

Cuban roast pork, black bean soup with chorizo, and rice. Lots of green vegetables for garnishes.

I regret to report that I ate restaurant food every day for about a week and a half  :-[  I had good excuses, but now half my pants don't fit.  So this week, I'm both eating healthier and not spending more money on food, since I have a freezer full of stuff.  I made vegetable-beef broth and I will be putting it in the slow cooker in the mornings before I leave for work, so that when I come home for lunch I can just drop pre-sliced meats and veggies in to quickly cook hot-pot style.  I had some for lunch and was pretty pleased!

I ate hibachi calamari for lunch and an early dinner.  Later I will probably panko bread and oven fry chicken strips and have those with corn on the cob.  I love only having to feed myself.

Chicken seared with Ponzu sauce, stir-fried vegetables, and Ramen noodles in an Asian broth. I have been craving that combo for days.
