Ordering dinner in tonight, but am making a black-eyed pea, sausage, cabbage and jalepeno soup in the crockpot against my DH's return tomorrow from Atlanta.

Yum, Charlie!

I'm making a pot of black beans and a batch of rice for weekday lunches.

Jambalaya, chopped salad and bread pudding with bourbon sauce.

We also had jambalaya, but just that and rice.  We both had to work today, so we put the crock pot and rice cooker to good use.  :)

Black beans with onions, and roasted sweet potato sticks. The big meal of the day was breakfast, though, with giant pillowy gnocchi, poached eggs, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms and spinach, and hollandaise.

Yesterday, just a kale smoothie and some late-night sweet potato fries and beer. Lunch was a great Thai salad with tempura asparagus and a chili dressing.

This morning, DH made cheese grits and we had that with sausage patties on the side.

Tonight, it's meatloaf, mashed potatoes and peas.

DH had minor dental surgery on Friday and I'm babying him with some of his favorite foods.  The dentist said anything he could cut with a fork is fair game.

Soft-boiled eggs and toast soldiers, salad, raspberries and an apple blossom.
If wisdomís ways you wisely seek,
Five things observe with care,
To whom you speak,
Of whom you speak,
And how, and when, and where.

I'm curious - what is an apple blossom?

I want to know whether an apple blossom is just a flower,  too!

I made asparagus carrot soup with a turmeric miss broth.

An apple blossom is a pastry pouch filled with apples and cinnamon.

I had every intention of making cottage pie in the crock pot, but didn't make it to the store.

DS requested pot roast as his last dinner before going away for spring break, so that is what we are having. With caramelized onions, potatoes and carrots.
