Naked view from office

(1/2) > >>

scattley:
This happened a couple of hours ago. Background - We have moved to a new medical office building off-campus at the University. This was a previously empty floor and there are only 5-10 people on the whole floor at present. Next to our building is a residerental set of flats with the "backyard" facing the open area on our floor (we are one floor up). So if we go to the open are we can almost touch the balcony of the next building. however the entrance to the open area is through one of the offices that we are not using or have access to so no-one has been out there yet. BUT we can see the backyards from the full lenght office window.

Now the issue. A collegue and I were suggesting to the building manager what sort of cover we could have in the open are to cut down on the sun coming through the window - we were looking out the window talking about sails when I noticed a topless women preparing to sunbathe next to where we were looking. She was in her backyard but level to us. The back wall of the backyard is Glass so there was nothing left to the imagination. Now she could not see us as the glass in the building is one way and this building has been "emptyish for several years" and since no-one has been out in the open area (as we still do not have a key to access it) it is possible that she is unaware that there is a working office next door.

Question - what should I do? I am the only female in the office (with 9 scientific male personnel) so I am a bit hesitant to make waves.

Alida:
Do you know if there's a manager on site for that building?  Maybe send mail to him or her and let them notify their residents.

kckgirl:
I would definitely find a way to let her know that her back yard is no longer a "private" area, but I would let your building manager contact the other building manager to let the residents know that the offices are now occupied.

Ciarrai:
Like the others have said, I would get the building manager to get the word out that the building is now occupied, so no more naked sunbathing. Obviously not in those words, but you get the idea.

Clara Bow:
Isn't it a little cold to be naked outdoors?? I think I'd contact the building manager and let them know to circulate word to the residents that the office building across the way is occupied.
And get some score cards to hold up if her antics continue.....some people delight in showing off, I can think of no other reason to be in the buff outside during the day in full view of a building. :o
