Former SIL wants to move.
« on: March 03, 2007, 11:36:16 PM »
Former SIL told Nephew she wants to move back to Indiana in August.  He asked if he could go with her.  She said no, she's only getting a one bedroom apartment (for herself and Husband #4).

Well, of course, I'm pleased as all getout, but here's what I'm wondering..

Where is she going to put 17 year old Good Niece?  The girl has another year of high school.

How long have they been here?  And why do they want to move back.  They'll be farther from the people they love.  Of course the people will be happier and healthier, but still.  Doesn't she realize that her MIL's car and her son's money will stay here?  On second thought take the good niece and let SIL go.  What happens to bad niece?

They've only been there about two years, if that.  It is traditional for Former SIL to move whenever one of her kids is in senior year of high school.  Besides, Husband #4 hates Maine.

I really think she is "pulling a geographic", where in one thinks the next place will be better, have more opportunities.

She has a major problem in that she's lost $20,000 a year in survivor's benefits to the kids.   You or I would scale back our lifestyles, but apparently that's out of the question for her.

Good Niece is going to join the army when she gets out of high school (2008) .  She speaks fluent Japanese and will be going to Japan.  She's going to some training program over the summer.  That is good for Former SIL as she will have the benefits check all to herself.

Bad Niece is living with some guy.  Her kid's father The Dirt Bag, is running around with his old girlfriend.  The girlfriend, by the way, is a sweet girl.  Go figure!

I suspect the Clue By Four of Life is going to strike Bad Niece soon.

And hard.
