A few years ago, my mom and I had dinner at a local Mexican restaraunt.  The waiter was fine, food was good, and we were satisfied.  Then we went to the front to pay.  Mom had some cash on her, so she decided to leave that on the table for the waiter's tip.  Then she went up to the front to pay for the meal with her credit card.  The lady rang up the food and handed her the reciept to sign, pointing out the place for the tip, and turned to do something else.  Since Mom already left a cash tip on the table, she left the tip space on the credit card reciept blank.  Lady turns back to us and glances at the reciept then glares at us and loudly decalares, "NO TIP?? WHAT KIND OF CHEAP PEOPLE ARE YOU??? THESE WAITERS MAKE LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE AND YOU ARE CHEATING THEM OUT OF THEIR MONEY!! Blah, blah, blah!!!"  She was so wrapped up in her self-righteous asinine speech that she didn't hear my mom say twice, "But I left my tip on the table!"  Finally I yelled over her saying that we left a cash tip on the table and we wanted to see the manager.  Lady stopped her tirade, her face got beet red, she mumbled something inaudible and left.  After waiting for 10 minutes we asked someone else if we could talk to the manager and he came shortly.  We said that everything was great until we encountered the cashier, but he still offered us a discount on our next meal.  We never went back anyway.

Actually it starts with an "R."  I'm afraid that there's two of them! It must be all the limestone in the water.  :-\

Is it my husband's alma mater, what he refers to as the "Missouri Monastery of Mines"?  ;)

Okay, You guys have me intrigued. I live in Missouri in an area that is heavily populated by mines and the collective name for the are is the Mineral Area. It is also near St. Louis. Hmmmmm......Could we be near each other?
