Database Problems Fixed

There was a database glitch today between 2:46 pm EST and 6:25 pm EST.   Most people got an error message and could not access the messages or log on. 

The database was upgraded and all appears to be back to normal once again.  In the future, if the forum goes down, go to the main page of www.etiquettehell.com for updates.  If www.etiquettehell.com is not available, it means the whole server has crashed.  Believe me, we hustle to get this fixed as soon as we know it's down.

It freaked us out there for a while because we'd fix one my-sql database and then another table would crash.  And then another and so forth.  Finally upgraded the database to match the upgraded forum software and all was well.

I'm still getting database errors at random. Like in the "worst service you have ever received" thread in the "Life...in general" forum, I can't get page 2 because I get the database errors.

Hm. It may be all over the forums in random places.

When I first went onto the URL http://www.etiquettehell.com/smf/index.php (from a bookmark), I got the following error:

Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator.

When I clicked on the "Home" link at the top, I was able to access the forum.

I've gotten it twice today, but for the past hour it seems to be okay again.

There's another thread in Glitches folder where the problem is being discussed as well.  For the past hour we've been working on the problem.  Hopefully all is worked out again.
