Remember, the "tie on door" is guy-code for "I'm having sex in here", so it's no wonder the roommate gets grumpy when you try to enter (although why he's getting frisky just before the party is odd). You can read about his roommate's girlfriend (caveman doesn't like her much) in his blog on the laptop in the living room.
