Well here she is. Yes, SHE. Who says Vorlons don't have females too?

Her story is vague at best. To put it simply she was the last Vorlon born in this galaxy, so she is literally the youngest Vorlon alive(by young I mean a couple million years old!). She's their equivalent to a teenager. Ambassador Kosh Naranek, her mentor, will say this about her: "The veil of youth assumes invincibility."

Typical Vorlons, they never say anything straight up :p

Nice one!
How do you tell it's female through an encounter suit?

Oh, I thought this thread was going to be about a Jewish holiday when I read the title!  ;D

The synthesized voice is more feminine(think Marina Sirtis's voice). Plus she gets real indignant about being called male and will correct you on that :P

Nice design! Who knew non-corporeal beings of pure energy had gender? I knew they had tempers, but not genders.

But I disagree about the voice.  It's Majel Barrett (who else?). ;)

[I can't believe I missed this till just now >:(]

;D FABULOUSO! 8)

Oh, wow. I love her. She's all pointy and spiky (like my hair! ;D) Thank you Cyndi, artiste extraordinaire and my sister in the Sorority of Loyalty To and Appreciation of Vorlons.

Kosh Auryndenek is now ensconced comfortably on my work PC's desktop background. She has displaced Commander Ivanova from that location. Those who know me will be aware that displacing Susan on my computer is truly a great honour to the new picture.

Copyright check- Can I print her onto transfer paper and make a T-shirt? Please? I want to show her off at the next convention!

Good lass ;)

Cheers again, Cyndi :D

*blushes* Oh my gosh, a shirt?! Wow, that is awesome! Sure you can and lemme know what people say about it ^_^ *is tickled that you have her on your desktop too*

Auryndenek says "Between prisms and kaleidoscopes."

Yeah, whatever she says ;)

T'mar - More like if she hears someone say "him", "his" or "he" she will loudly interrupt with "her/hers/she" in a somewhat snotty tone. Like the tone Ulkesh used when he said "We are ALL Kosh!" (Kosh Naranek would also tell people to call her Kosh as well. Confusing? Yes. But it's to protect her a little by confusing....everybody else! So to younger races she's called "Kosh", but her actual name is Auryn. The "denek" is just a title, like Naranek. It shows that she's young. When she's older she'll drop it and just go by Auryn among her own kind :)).

minnaloushe - GAH! I keep missing posts! Anyway, I like to believe Vorlons are actually born in solid flesh and blood bodies and then they get "born again" via the same chrysalis process Delenn and Sinclair used to change form, and when they emerge they are in the form you saw when Kosh and Ulkesh had their scuffle. So whatever gender they're born as when they're solid is the gender they choose to be when they "ascend". Auryndenek is the last one to go through this transformation so that's why she's the youngest. They stay in their cocoons for a couple thousand years, building their knowledge as they change.

That's an interesting theory, and I like it, but would prefer to think of them as being beyond mere mortal flesh, even from the beginning.  Sort of like the "human" at the end of Season 4.  I don't wish to believe he tranmuted from flesh to energy, but that we became more like the vorlons and became pure energy ourselves.

And, yes, permission for a tee shirt would be fantastic, please and thank you!

*Sigh* it's so nice to see people still love B5.  DH and I have suckered in a new convert and are in the middle of Season 4.  He's excited as all get out, and I can't stop crying, because I know it will end soon, and once again I will be left heartbroken at the image of Delenn watching every sunrise...

And Ivanova? Ivanova is GOD. (Just ask her!)
