No one took the Precious!
« on: March 12, 2007, 05:13:13 PM »
To the staff and patrons of Toronto Pearson Airport, I would like to apologize. I have often, even on this board, complained loudly about you. However, when I left the Precious (my brand-new company supplied Dell laptop) behind me at check-in, and didn't remember it for nearly 20 minutes, I figured it was a goner. However, when I went back, there it was, sitting forlornly but untouched at the edge of the check-in line.

To the security people in particular, I thank you for letting me pass back out through security, and in again without undue hassle or making me feel like an idiot. Thank you for not blowing up the Precious as an abandoned article. (However, wasn't SOMEONE supposed to notice it sitting there?)
My cousin's memoir of love and loneliness while raising a child with multiple disabilities will be out on Amazon soon! Know the Night, by Maria Mutch, has been called "full of hope, light, and companionship for surviving the small hours of the night."
