I can't seem to get my avatar to work.  (OT...ehelldame--I am loving your new avatar!)

I'm using glowfoto for my online host, but this forum doesn't seem to like any code I put in.  If I try to put in the code after the http/ (that is in the code box automatically)--I get an empty avatar box.  If I try to delete the automatic http/ and put in the code in an empty code box--it isn't accepted.  Arrrrrggghhh.

Help!

What's the code you're using?

It should only be a url, like http://yoursite.com/your-image.jpg, for example, that you're putting into the field.

This is the first BBCode I tried.

If I put the code in the field provided, I get http//:[URL=http:// etc.  and no picture.  If I try and delete the http//: that is in the field automatically--it won't accept the code I put in (it just deletes it).

Ideas?

i used photobucket after seeing someone here mention it, and that is working ok. It's free, too.

You only need to put in the url of the picture itself.

Copy and paste

http://img4.glowfoto.com/images/2006/12/08-0840218840T.jpg

into the avatar box in the profile settings.

I wonder why it was giving me such long codes?  I'm all thumbs when it comes to codes--they all look the same to me.
