Thanks - I think...!
« on: March 14, 2007, 01:52:18 PM »
Yesterday my ds and I were goofing around.
I was lying on the couch, pretending to sleep and he was opening my mouth, pretending to make me say goofy things.

For a 10yo boy, making your mom "say" "I'm 400 years old!" is side-splitting.

12yo dd came in and watched for a bit. Apparently she didn't think son was funny enough, because she scootched in, grabbed my chin and said "I know how to operate this thing!"

"This thing?"
Apparently, I'm now a "thing"   :D that the kids can "operate".

Nice to know my place in the grand scheme of things!  ;D

That's a riot!  I didn't know you were related to my family.  I thought we were the only ones who did weird things.  One time my married sister, Edith,  and I were spending the night at my mother's.  Edith thought she had forgotten to turn off her heater so she and mom went to her house, about six blocks away, to check.  While they were gone, my younger sister and I hurried and made a huge "WELCOME HOME" banner and strung it across the wall in the living room, and broke out the wine and wine glasses so we could celebrate their return (after their ten minute trip).
I've never knitted anything I could recognize when it was finished.  Actually, I've never finished anything, much to my family's relief.
