The actual OWNER?
« on: August 12, 2008, 09:19:48 PM »
I live near a group of historic buildings that are privately owned by one person.  He is trying to start an artist's colony.  It is located on a small island in a river and is accessible only by a car bridge and two foot bridges.

A group of us walk there every night (even in the winter) to get some exercise and admire the river.   Most of the galleries, etc. close at 5 and there are few people around.   We have no legal right to be there.

Tonight there was a man walking around with a radio, looking official.  He came over and introduced himself as the owner. (I recognized his name.)  I mentioned that we enjoyed coming and that we "trespassed there often". (May as well admit it)

He said he had seen us there many times and we were certainly welcome to walk there, as often as we wanted.

He was so nice.
