I have three Jonathan apples with which I intended to make apple crisp or baked apples over the last couple of weeks, but I never got around to it. DH and I are leaving to visit his dad tomorrow night (we're flying), and I don't think the apples will survive if I leave them. Also, if I cook whatever it is, we won't eat it up in time, as we already have enough food in the house.
Can I freeze cooking apples? Should I core/peel/slice them up first or just put them in whole?
