Today, I could not get in using etiquettehell.com/smf.   Then I remembered the 72.something address from yesterday.  I was able to find the 72.something address in the history, and get in.

I got here via the link in the drop-down history in my browser.  I had to choose a new password.  When I tried to log in, I was told I didn't exist.

I have also had problems with the "Show unread posts" as it comes up empty until I log in a few times.  Also, I am required to log in each time, even though it shows that I am logged in "forever".

Same here - even if I try to log on for 600 minutes, it hasn't been working; I have to log back in again each time.  The "always stay logged in" feature never did work, even previously.

I had to site bookmarked and was able to get back in.

My saved session (Flamingvixen) took me to a page that redirected me here. I've changed my saved session.

I have this bookmarked:

http://www.etiquettehell.com/content/eh_main/gen/eh_index.shtml

From the title I thought this was going to be some sort of existential question until I saw where it was posted.  How did you get here?  Where are you going in life?  What is a human being? ;)

I have the main page bookmarked, then used the forum link.

Miss Jeanne, thank you for your prompt attention to the glitches, the updates on said glitches, and aiding my addiction.    :)

I just got in this afternoon from the main site.  My bookmark works now, but didn't before. Also the main site links gave me a "forbidden" message until this afternoon.

I seriously wondered if I had been banned or blocked, but couldn't remember what I might have done wrong.

That's why I hate the server crashes.  I'm concerned people misunderstand the "Forbidden access" error message and we'll lose people in the server transition.  When someone is really banned, they get a message that says something to the effect, "Sorry, you've been banned from this forum" when they try to access it.   So far, it looks like everyone made it back.  Funny thing though, there were people that had been banned from the forum who tried to get back in.   Silly trolls, the forum software still works.

Considering that I've never noticed anyone behaving in a troll-like manner, you're doing an excellent job of weeding them out! ;D

Some of them are obvious from either their ID name or their email address so they get caught before they ever post.  The fact that there must be a valid email address to register as well as the fact that the software can see the IP addresses of everyone who visits the forum probably discourages all but the most tenacious.

Hmmm, ever since the move to the new server, I can't reach any of the etiquettehell sites from my home computer.  I was able to briefly, but now, no chance.  I can reach it from work (where I am now), but help!  I've tried Flamingvixen and IE, but both tell me they are "looking up etiquettehell.com" when I click on my bookmark, and then quickly time out.  They both then tell me that the server is unavailable.

Help!  I can't survive without my etiquettehell!

A few people are having the same problem which could be one of two things.  Either your home computer's server has not received the name changeover propagation (in other words, your computer is being directed to look at the old Ehell site which it cannot) or more likely the problem lies in your cookies.  Exit completely from Ehell.com pages, delete your cookies and delete your temporary internet files.  One person had to clear her recent history and recently viewed pages from the address bar drop down menu before it would work for her.  Reboot if necessary.

I had already done an ipconfig \flushdns on my computer and also did the above recommendations with no effect whatsoever.  I already sent you an e-mail asking the same questions since I can't seem to access you via my own computer.
