A perfect storm of Special Snowflake and Not Harry Potter - ness appeared when I worked on Friday:
So, one of our auditoriums was on the fritz, and a movie could not be shown. This news was very disappointing to most people, but they understood that sometimes things like that happen, and there's nothing we can do until a technician gets here to fix it.
But, not this woman. She proceeded to scream to everyone that "OH MY DIETY, THIS MOVIE ISN'T PLAYING!" How dare we have technical difficulties when she was on such a tight schedule? The GM offered her the same deal as everyone else - free tickets to literally any other non - 3D movie we had playing. But no! Her movie was not playing! This totally messed up her whole schedule!
Lady, we can't do anything about it. We really don't want this to happen; we promise. Losing money is not something we want to do, because we're a business - we're here to make money. But really, none of us were clairvoyant enough to know that the busiest woman in the entire world wanted to see a movie that's been out for at least 2 weeks right this very minute! *headdesk* *headdesk* *headdesk*
