Try, try and try again..
« on: March 10, 2016, 10:44:25 AM »
I'm not sure where to put this, but it made me chuckle when I passed my husband's ex-colleague yesterday.  This man and his wife had twin boys and were hoping their second pregnancy would produce the daughter they both wanted.  Nope; another son.  Wife said they would have one more try, as four children would be quite enough of whatever gender.  Result!  One beautiful baby daughter was born, along with two more boys... Yes, third pregnancy was triplets.  Anyone for 6 children under 5, 5 of them boys?

Whoa! No thank you, 6 kids under 5, regardless of gender! I knew a lady who it seemed couldn't have children. They adopted the first one, then she did get pregnant and then it seemed she couldn't stop as they wound up with 6 or 7 kids, the last two being twins. not in quite that time frame, but within 8 years, I think.

Wow.

A former colleague had a little girl, while she was still on maternity leave she fell pregnant again, with twin girls that time.  She ended up with three little girls under 12 months old.

Wow.  I've got 5 girls within 8 years, and that's pretty crazy!  I can only imagine.
Emily is 9 years old!  1/07
Jenny is 7 years old!  10/08
Charlotte is 5 years old!  8/10
Megan is 3 years old!  10/12
Lydia is 1 year old!  12/14

A friend from college has 8 children - the first six were girls, the seventh was a boy, and the eighth was a girl.

Another friend was the youngest of five, and the only boy.

My BIL and his wife have 6 kids-one boy (oldest) and 5 girls.

No wonder he's looking forward to seeing DS16 (his cousin) next week  ;D.

My grandmother had 6 boys in three and a half years.  2 sets of twins.  One of those twins had a set of twins, one of whom had a set of twins.  My dad has been in some scientific journals as the odds of this are apparently very slim

My aunt and uncle had 11 children. My dad (his brother) only had me as Mom was finished at 1.
