Or ballet.  :o

You know, for whatever they do, my standard answer is, "cheaper than rehab."

Although outdoor activities here on the Gulf Coast require a special level of dedication from parents. You sweat profusely for soccer and football until the rainy cold winter monsoon season hits...and then it's damp and cold, except for one brilliant weekend in October when everybody is delirious with the wonders of a true gorgeous fall day and football to boot. That one day is worth every day they waited to call it for rain until the last minute, every 90 degree heat 90 % humidity day, everything.

I was just grateful our girls took up ballet when it turned out that after every soccer game their father's eyes swelled shut with grass allergies (they mowed the field nice and early every Saturday morning.) Pitiful.
