I clearly attract bus-idiot SSs, because I encountered another one today.
The UK had a huge storm last night (predicted to be the biggest in decades I believe), and as a result, a lot of trains were cancelled while engineers make sure there's no debris on the tracks. Of course, this meant that the buses were packed! Absolutely rammed.
We finally get to my stop, which is a major one that a lot of people get off at. I get up, scramble over all the people staying on the bus, until I encounter one woman, who is standing right in the middle of the aisle, blocking it entirely (gripping a pole in each hand, so there's no chance at slipping past). I say excuse me. She turns her head slightly, so I think she heard me, but then turns away and doesn't move an inch.
"Excuse me" I say again, slightly louder, trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. Everyone around her hears me, because they look at her.
"Just wait!" she snaps at me, still having not moved at all. Sloooowly, reluctantly, she starts to creep to one side, glaring at me the entire time for daring to ask her to move. I truly wonder if she thought if she ignored me, I'd give up and go to the next stop instead?
I nearly got shut in the bus doors by the time I got out of them. I felt like Indiana Jones...
