Heard this one from my neighbor "Jerry" last night about our other neighbor "Tammy" whose house is between ours and Jerry's. Tammy is a very unhappy lady in her early 60s. She started causing problems not long after she moved in a few years ago and has had some type of altercation with pretty much every neighbor on our end of the street, including my spouse and me. We pretty much avoid her as much as we can.
So yesterday Jerry and a garage door repairmen were out in his driveway working on his garage door. A very large truck pulled into our neighboorhood and was attempting to make the immediate left into the cul-de-sac across from mine, Jerry's, and Tammy's houses. He was apparently struggling a little due to the nature of the turn and the size of the vehicle, it also doesn't help that our neigbhorhood is gated and the entrance and exits are both narrow due to the brick gate posts separating the lanes.
So in the middle of the guy trying to turn, Tammy decides to pull out of her driveway and stops in the street, completely blocking access to the cul-de-sac. She had of room to drive around him and get out of the way, or she could have done the most polite thing and waited a moment for him to pull in and get out of the way. Instead she chose to sit there, blocking the way and refusing to move. Another neighbor lady (the one waiting for the truck) and the driver were both trying to wave her around, but she sat there, blowing her horn and screaming curses at the truck driver. Eventually, the driver gave up and had to awkwardly back up the very large truck into the busy road outside our neighborhood. The garage door repairman was totally shocked and asked Jerry what Tammy's problem was!
