I wore a shirt/jacket over my usual clothes when working at a (now defunct) chain store (similar to Wal-Mart - back in the late 1970s). A large grocery store wore the same print - Bicentennial theme in Red, White, & Blue. I learned the hard way to take the durned thing OFF before going shopping on the way home at night........
No one looks at the name tag if you are wearing "a shirt" in the same distinctive print. Telling them that I worked at *a different store* when they asked where the *whatever-it-was* was kept in THAT store didn't cut any ice with them, either. I should know where everything in every store in town was just because I was the one person they could find to ASK where what they wanted was...........
*rant off*
Now that I am "that age", I find that it really can be hard to locate things when looking through bifocals. I am dreading trifocals..............
