Dump cake is what I use crushed pineapple for.(

1 cake mix
1 can of pie filling of your choice (or instead of pie filling, you can use bag frozen berries of your choice works well since it is soft when thawed)
1 stick of butter melted
2 small cans of crushed pineapple or one large can
Optional- Coconut.  (I omit this as no one in family except me likes is)

Pour cans of pineapple (juice and all) along bottom of cake pan of your choice (double recipe and use a rectangular one), pour the pie filling (or berries) over the pineapple evenly.  Sprinkle the dry cake mix over this.  Drizzle the butter over the cake mix.  Using a fork, I will smush areas in a grid like pattern so that the filling starts to come up.  Optional, sprinkle coconut on top.

Bake in 350 for 20-25 minutes till golden brown.

Serve hot with ice cream or cooled.  Both ways is delish.

Years ago, my aunt told my mom how to make this cake.

Add 1 drained little can of mandarin orange segments to a boxed yellow cake mix (along with whatever ingredients the box says) and bake as directed.

Mix 1 pk vanilla pudding mix (don't add milk), 1 container of cool whip, and 1 can crushed pineapple.  Top cooled cake.

OT:  angel food cake mix has shampoo in it.  :)

Sounds weird, but rather tasty...

Layer unsalted soda crackers in a pan.  I'd layer about 3 crackers thick.  Cover crackers with crushed pineapple.  Cover pineapple with a nice, thick layer of whipped cream.  Refrigerate for about an hour, and serve as desert!
