Mind letting me know if they have any nice lavender scented bodyspray type stuff? I know we're not in the same area, but major chains tend to carry the same things all over the country. Lavender is one of the few scents that I like and will consistantly smell nice on me. Bodyspray and nice bathwash are some of the few "girly" things I like.

Actually I didn't get out to the mall I thought we were going to go to, but B & BW doesn't seem to have much lavender stuff in stock, except for their Aromatherapy line. I checked the website. :( There's a brand called Avalon Organics (not B & BW) that has a full line of lavender products. I can't use lavender in everyday life because its relaxing effects are all too good on me - the scent makes me want to relax and fall asleep.

I just got home from my aunt's office party about an hour ago, which I helped out with, so I'm a bit exhausted. I was supposed to talk to Paul when I got home tonight, but he works tomorrow and is probably sound asleep by now, so hopefully I'll have a Paul update to post in the next week or so. I'm gonna try to get him to come to my Christmas Eve brunch. :)

For now, time to get to bed!!

Thank you for the information. And it's easy for me to start stressing out (even if it's not readily apparent) so the relaxing influence of lavendar doesn't make me all that sleepy, just keeps the tension levels down to something managable.

Hope you were at least able to enjoy yourself somewhat at the party and I'm sure there's several people who want to hear how things go with you and Paul. :)

I do, I do!  I missed this weekend, although it looks like I"m not too far out of the loop. ;)

Oh, VS Strawberries & Champaign is my absolute favorite ever.  Of course, I'm all stocked up on it, so I hope I don't actually get any more, but that's ok.  One guy I dated worked in a restaurant down the street from my office.  I went in one day to see him at lunch, and one of the waitresses asked if I had any lotion, so I gave her some.  The guy I was dating said it made him think of me all day and I wasn't allowed to let her use it anymore. :P  Just to say that the scent thing really does work.  Go get him, MB!

I'm trying, I'm trying!! He called me last night when the party was in full swing, but I couldn't get away. I really want to see him this week.

I'm going to call it an early night, finish watching a movie and go to bed. Maybe he'll call or text late. *hoping...*

Got my fingers crossed, but that makes it really hard to type.  ;)

He didn't call that night either, but I guess he'd gone to bed already.

We get sporadic that way. Of course he had to call me in the middle of the office party I was helping my aunt to run on Sunday night, so it's funny - bad timing and perfect timing are the hallmarks of our friendship so far. Sometimes everything will fall completely, perfectly into place, and other times - everything goes completely pear-shaped.

It doesn't matter. That's life, and we both have quite busy ones.

I'm going to my knitting club tonight, regardless. I'm not gonna sit around all night, desperate for him to call me. I haven't been to knitting in a while and I need to get back into the "swing of things." This includes resuming my normal social life without him.

So I gotta go change!! Can't sit around here all night in sweats and a t-shirt. I gotta run!

Just in case no one told you this little secret...... that's the best way to get him.  Have your own life, and you two will never run out of things to talk about.  How'd the knitting go by the way?

It went OK - these days I go mostly to socialize, because I found out my shoulders and neck tire really quickly when I'm confined to a fairly small space (ie, I can't use a sofa, I'm sitting in a small chair). I haven't lost my knitting skills, but my desire to knit, knit, knit has gone away a little - partially because of the (minor) pain involved, partially because I think I'm not as anxious as I used to be.

I woke up this morning with a little bit of a cold, though. :( Hopefully I'll get over it quickly!

I go in spurts with my cross-stitch, so that makes perfect sense to me.  At least you get the socializing done.  And even just the little bit you can do can move you forward, so sounds like a good night to me.

No sooner did I read that you started a cold than I started coughing.  And here I thought passing germs by internet was impossible. ;)  Seriously, feel better soon. Rest and take care of yourself so you can have that awesome date.

Oh, I will. I just took a dose of DayQuil and am going to have a cup of tea with honey and lemon and keep warm. :)

Maybe when he calls I'll have that sickie sore-throat voice that so many of my other male friends find attractive. One of my friends says I sound "really sexy" when I'm sick. ??? Boys!  ::) Who can figure them out??

Honey, if you ever figure guys out, you'll be a kajillionaire.

Too bad you can't feel as sexy as you apparently sound when you're sick. ;)

Well, no wonder he didn't call all week - he's been sick too (again! He had just got over a cold last time I saw him) - and I sound AWFUL right now. I'm thisclose to losing my voice. He didn't sound as bad, but it's obvious he's sick.

I had a miserable day yesterday and a miserable, sleepless night last night. I'm starting to get a bit better, though, and we made plans to get together for Christmas - even if not on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, then during Christmas week. :) We have all week to celebrate! ;D
