Addressing thank-you note

Hi,

Over Thanksgiving, I received several gifts from my aunt while she and her family visited, including a belated birthday card and gift.  Should I address the thank-you note to my aunt, her and her husband, or to their family (her, her husband, and their two teenaged kids)?  I'm ashamed to add that it's been a while since I've written a thank-you note for anything, but I want to start making it a habit, and doing it right! - is it more proper to enumerate the gifts or to write a simple, sincere statement of gratitude?

It wouldn't hurt to address it to all of them, even though the assumption can be made that your aunt was the one who made the effort to buy it, etc.

For situations like this, I address the envelope "The Squeeble Family", then list their names in the salutation on the note itself...
