I Am So Excited!!

<< < (2/3) > >>

Sandi Papaya:
I'm almost done with all my shopping - and now I have to wrap.  :P I hate wrapping gifts. I'm glad I won't have to wrap my mom's, though - I paid extra to have Apple gift-box and wrap it for me (it's an iPod nano! I'm so excited for her to get it!).

I've got a week till Christmas and maybe 6 people left to shop for - that's a first, for me! I end up doing all my gift shopping last-minute every year.

As of Saturday my husband I were both done! And the gifts to family back home are in the mail as of yesterday... should get to my parents' house tomorrow for distribution (I called and asked if they would play 'Santa' so we could save on shipping costs).

One thing about shipping most gifts away... it means we have to get finished that much sooner!

Linda1967:

I finished my shopping Saturday except for some stocking stuffers for my mom and dad and DH, since DH and I will be spending Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at my parents' home. My parents still hang stockings for each other and for any daughters, sons-in-laws and grandchildren who are visiting them.

DH and I actually bought most of our gifts in one afternoon on Dec. 2. - the only ones we didn't get that day were gifts for each other, our teenage nephew and our adult niece and her new husband. We had purchased those gifts by Dec. 10.

On Saturday, DH wrapped the gifts that we are giving to the senior citizen that we adopted for Christmas through our church, and wrapped and mailed the gifts to his brother and his brother's wife and child. DH is on vacation this week, so yesterday he wrapped and mailed the gifts to his parents, and wrapped all of the gifts for my family members, whom we'll all see the week of Christmas. It feels good to have everything done - and I am so lucky that I have a spouse who is a much better gift wrapper than I am and who wraps everything without me even asking him. I still need to wrap his gifts, however.

As for what I bought for myself while Christmas shopping:

1. A pair of winter white wool pants at Ann Taylor Loft. I needed one or two pairs of wool pants for work, and I am planning to wear these pants with a fancy top on New Year's Eve.

2. Undies and bras, which I really needed and which were on sale at Victoria's Secret. I got a free lotion and body wash for buying them, and I'll give the lotion and body wash to my mom as a stocking stuffer.

Scritzy:
Well, let's see …

Except for our stocking-stuffer run at the Five and Ten that we'll do on  Saturday, I've been finished with my shopping for some time. (Though I did cheat and buy my sister a pair of socks on Saturday.) But for myself I have bought some black suede lace-up boots in the style I'd been seeking for two years now (30 percent off); a nifty little red hat (50 percent off); a pretty sheer black shawl covered in chain-stitch embroidery and sequins (50 percent off) and a black/maroon skirt that looks wonderful with my new boots (50 percent off).  8)

Plus a beautiful Christmas sweater with cardinals done in red sequins and embroidery. Gotta have those sparkles!

I still have to make a couple of things, though, for Tim and his wife. I'll do that tonight, while Chip is out shopping for ME!!  :-*

HogwartsAlum:
I'm all done except for:

My skating coach - gift cert to teacher store (must get still).
Friend at the rink - little skating buddy stuffed animal (I have it, just not wrapped).

I haven't really bought myself anything yet, but I might go to the flea market this weekend.  I have two gift cards from Barnes & Noble to spend - whoopeee! - but I probably won't go until after Christmas, unless I get really really bored.
