Did Anyone Else...

(1/1)

Clara Bow:
Watch the Oxygen special about the murdered young girls and women in Juarez, Mexico? I am not even going to butcher the Spanish language by attempting to spell the title, but I think it translates to "Missing Young Woman". It was one of the most infuriating and terrifying things I have ever seen....and I think that it is very important for women everywhere to know what has been happening there.
One of the companies that runs a factory in Juarez is Philips. I'm trying to find a way to send them an email urging them to review their hiring practices for the safety of their female employees (it's suspected that fellow employees actually "sell" these women to people through taking their pictures at work and distributing them).
My husband was treated to one of my raving "Prom Queen of the National Organization for Women" rants about the gross injustice and sick depravity of this situation.
What says you, ehellions? I'm particularly interested in hearing from Latina (please forgive me if that term is incorrect or offensive and give me the right one if it is, I mean no harm really) readers about whether or not they've heard anything additional about these crimes from family or friends who may be in and around that area....
Be careful out there ladies, please.....

Venus193:
I didn't see the program; when did it air?  I searched the network's website, but couldn't find anything. However, here's the link to the Crime Libary article on the situation:

Sandi Papaya:
I didn't see it either; I need to recheck my satellite listings to see if we even get it because I can never remember if we get Oxygen or not. I remember we used to get it with cable. It's something I'd like to see, although I haven't been to Mexico recently, and don't plan to go anytime soon. Mexico is one of the few places I have no interest in traveling to.

Clara Bow:
It aired on Oxygen Friday night at ten....my husband says it was WE..but I think it was Oxygen. It was a fascinating and infuriating documentary. I am broken hearted for those families.
