Christmas Gift for a "boss"
Alida:
I volunteer at the dojang where I train - I do office work, create newsletters, figure out advertising and the like. Last year, I gave my SaBumNim a pottery piece for his home and a big thing of coffee (he's a caffeine addict like me). This year, I'm not sure what to give him. He's got enough coffee from all of his students to last him another year!
He did give me a gift yesterday after class - a gift card to the mall where the dojang is. I don't want it to look like I'm just reciprocating, since I was planning on giving him something the last class before Christmas. What would be appropriate, cost wise, really?
CynthiaBelle:
How about something like a Border's (or bookstore) gift card. Maybe a new coffee mug? $15 dollars I think is good, depending on how strong you feel about buying him a present and the relationship you have. Good luck, let me know what you do!!
JeanFromBNA:
Is there anything that the dojang needs, or could benefit from, such as artwork?
jfulle5:
I'm getting my boss a fruit basket from a local fruit market. It's something that he'll use and it's not that expensive but it shows you thought about him.
Reika:
Does your boss find it interesting to read books that are about other martial arts other than Tae Kwon Do? I know that my former master found it interesting to read about other styles for ideas or just comparison to work with people who had background in something other than Tae Kwon Do.
