Another e bay question
« on: August 11, 2009, 11:24:48 AM »
DS2 bought a phone from ebay.  We are in the US, the seller is in Hong Kong. The phone worked for about 4 days, and then stopped working.  DS2 said it has a white screen.  I emailed the seller last week, they said to try this and that, which DS2 had already done, but he did it again, still doesn't work.

I sent another email yesterday, stating that the phone was not working and I expected either a new phone or our money back.  I had a reply this morning and the seller wants us to mail the phone back, which we would have to pay for, it would be $10-15, they said to keep everything but the actual phone, and once they recieved it we would get a replacement.

I have not started an official complaint or inquiry through Paypal, but I think I should, just so they can help out.

But what do you all think?  I admit when they said we had to mail it back using our own money, I got a little PO'd, but it would be a lot quicker than waiting on a pre paid envelope from Hong Kong!  The seller had a high number of sales and a positive rating, so I am hoping for the best.

And if anybody has any other suggestions for getting the silly phone to work, please let me know!

Thanks
