I'm usually a lurker but I'm happy to have something positive to post.
I started using the scooters supplied by my supermarket because my arthritis makes it hard for me to be on my feet for more than 10 minutes.
I'm happy to report that each time I shop several people offer to help me reach items on high shelves or hard to reach places. Often if I'm sitting there thinking about what to get they make an open-ended offer--"Can I help you with anything?"
People are also very nice about moving so I can get by them or allowing me to go ahead of them down an aisle.
This has been old people, young people, whoever. The check-out kids are especially nice.
